Writing & Reflections
This is where my writing lives.
Stories, reflections and longer pieces shaped by lived experience, decades of working alongside people, and the quiet things we don't always say out loud.
The 7-Day Sabbatical
A Nurse's Guide to the Inner Work:
Our Stories. Our Way Back.
I wrote this book alone in a forest cabin, doing the inner work myself first.
It’s seven days of guided stories, science, practices, meditations and journal questions, written for the ones who have held it all together for everyone else, and forgotten themselves along the way.
Some books you read. This one reads you.

Reflections
I write about things I notice. These aren't teachings or advice, just stories, observations and questions I'm often still sitting with myself.
Nobody was watching
On the small things we do when nobody will ever know.
Be the patient's nurse
Something my mother told me before I knew how much it would matter.
Life happens for you
On offering what we see without needing someone else to see it too.
Asking for help
What happened when I finally admitted I had reached capacity.
Burnout
What thirty-five years drawn on a whiteboard showed me.
You made me feel seen today
On strangers, grief, and the small ways we matter to each other.

A Nurse’s Journey Back to Health
After nearly forty years around illness, recovery, burnout, grief, death and the many ways people try to find their way back to themselves, I’ve started gathering some of what those years have taught me.
Part memoir, part reflection, and part exploration of what we mean when we talk about health.
It’s still becoming what it needs to be.
More when it’s ready.
